Seemingly small adjustments in stem length can change an uncomfortable bike to one that properly fits you alsmost in an instant.
The length and angle of the stem orientates your upper body and back to the handlebars and even slight changes will completely change your body position on your bike.

Adjustable stems allow for small stem angle changes and this can have a great effect on comfort.
If you know the measurement from the front tip of your saddle to the middle of your handlebars, and from the centre of your cranks to the top of your saddle, you can quickly adjust a bike to fit you.
