Adjustable Kevlar Straps. Ultra light and resistant material that guarantees safety, comfort and breathability.
Cooling Factor. The cooling factor is calculated using Fluid Flow Analysis. Through this very high-tech computerized analysis system, particle fraces are used to visualize and measure the motion of mass-less particles that are placed in a flow field. In Met's case they measure the velocity and temperature of the air as it goes through the helmet in order to rate each helmet's capacity to keep the head cool. The highter the cooling factor the cooler the head.
Coolmax washable pads. This high tech material ensures maximum perspiration absorption and faster evaporation.
Gel02. New generation of morpho gel pads allowing the head to stay cool, thanks to the natural capacity of the gel to stay cool when in contact with the head, to dispel the sweat and perfectly fit the shape of the skult.
Gel02 Front. "Morpho-gel" front pad avoids the problem of sweat dripping into your eyes or glasses when riding in very hot conditions.
Head Contact Surface (HCS). The Head Contact Surface indicates, as a percentage, how much of the head is in contact with the helmet. It is clear that where the head is in contact with the helmet there is no room for the air to circulate, hence the HCS provides key information to rate helmet ventilation. The lower the HCS, the better the ventilation.
Ice Lite. Composite Exoskeleton, integrated into the In-Molding process, allowing Structural performance beyond established standard. With deflectors allowing an acceleration of the ventilation.
In-Mold Construction. Advanced construction using fusion between the external capard polystyrene that guarantees resistance and lighter weight.
Integral In-mold construction. The fusion is carried out on all external surfaces of the helmet. This reinforces the helmet and increases its longevity.
Lockable Side Straps Divider. Unlock it, adjust the straps in order to position each divider right under your ear. Lock it back. Simple ! The moulded composite frame ensures lightness, rigidity and reduced size whilst the lower position of the rotating axle allows for maximum leverage.
Reflective sticker at the rear. The reflective sticker placed at the rear of the helmet is illuminated by car headlight and helps to alert drivers behind you of your presence in low light situations.
Removable Visor. Protects the face from branches, mud, sun, rain and is easy removable.
Removable and Ventilated Visor. Protects the face and channels the air towards the interior of the helmet for ultimate ventilation.
Safe-T Lite. Ultra light and easy to use retention system that uses a double slide adjustment device, improving stability and safety.
Safe-T-X. Occipital double side retention system with two large occipital skates, distributing the pressure on a broader surface to increase comfort.
UltimaLite Fiber is a composite and ultra resistant material invented and used exclusively by Met. This innovation allows for the reduction of material used in todays basic helmet construction. The results produce a much lighter product allowing greater comfort and performance, without compromising safety.
Weight measurement. The weight you will find indicated inside the catologue is the true weight of Met's helmets, measured with the accessories like internal pads and visor, if the model is equipped with a visor. The one you will find indicated inside every single helmet is actually lower. It is measured accordingly to the safety standard certifiction rules that require for the whole certification process, including the weight measurement, that the helmet is tested without its accessories.
