Ergon GP, GC, GR and GX grips prevent numb fingers, painful hands and forearms-problems that may riders face.
The cause of this is high pressure on the particulary sensitive areas of the palm and an incorrect hand position.
Due to their anatomically optimal design, Ergon grips provide a contact surface of 100%.
Regular grips only provide contact surface of approximately 60%.
With increased contact surface, pressure is especially reduced in the area of the ulna nerve, thus decreasing the likelihood of numbness.
Furthermore, the anatomic form of the Ergon Performance and Race Series grips corrects your hand position.
An incorrect hand position and overloading of the median nerve (a leasing cause of carpal tunnel syndrome) are impossible as long as the grip is mounted correctly.
THE SIZE DIFFERENCE.
Ergon offers two sizes on many grip models.
The difference in the sizing refers to the diameter of the grip.
Size S is good for people with smaller hands, as the smaller diameter allows a firmer hold as the hand is able to wrap around the grip more.
Size L is aimed at people with larger hands, where a larger diameter provides more grip and damping for the rider's larger frame.
This is just a guide.
The grips size difference is easily recognized; the gray inlay is a lighter shade on the small grips than the large.
Size S: 6.5-8.5 - suitable for male and female
Size L: 8.5-10.5
